Awesome island activity - The Aerial Adventure Ropes Course

This summer, we tried the coolest island activity - in our opinion! The Aerial adventure rope course near Up the Creek.  The ad says for ages 6- marine.  We went with ages 6 - much older than 6, but no one that we would classify as Marine.  We are active families and no stranger to exercise but not hard core.  This was a super fun way to spend 2 hours!  Well worth the money.
There are several levels of courses: blue, green, black and black diamond. Our 6 year old is on the smaller side but he pushed through every blue course.  His little legs at times could not stretch to the stride needed, but he always found another way to complete the task. Hint -- on the tight rope bridge, have the adult behind him put tension on the rope to make it easier for the little ones to tight rope across.
The older kids and adults had a blast!  Everyone did each course several times, calling out challenges to the group like "don't use the support rope".  
We suggest light weight clothing as you will sweat - heavily.  The guides will rate your butt sweat at the end. Haha Extra deodorant wouldn't hurt either. :) 
Some in the group developed blisters on the finger tips where the gloves were cut.  Not sure why the glove finger tips are cut off but we will ask next year. (Yes, we will do this again and again and again).
There is a platform to rest on that always has an attendant so take a camera to get some shots while resting.  You can leave it while you are on a challenge.
When you have no sweat left in your body - there is hope! Head next door to Up the Creek for beverages and food - you won't be disappointed.  Our aerial adventure was later in the day.  By the time we hit Up the Creek - they had entertainment!  Can't beat that.

So yes, we know you go to Hilton Head for the beach but this is one activity you won't want to miss!

It all started many years ago when my best friend ever from high school and I decided that renting a house in Palmetto Dunes with at the time 5 kids total ages 2-9 and our husbands sounded like a good idea.  Several summers of rental later, a house purchase in the best plantation ever, a total gut job remodel and oh yeah, add another kid and here we are!
We share the house, all 10 of us at once.  We have never seen such huge rooms in a house. Wow! Plenty of space for our summers in paradise.  Yes, we are both fortunate enough (or unfortunate enough) to have husbands that can work from any location,-- home, HHI, the beach, a ball game - you get the picture.
We started out asking "the locals" where the locals go.  Now we feel like locals and want to share our vast knowledge of island experiences.
